Portland Local 8 FCU Credit Card Conversion

| Monday, August 24 | Activate your new ILWU Credit Union CARGO Rewards Visa. |
As part of the final phase of the merger process, Portland Local 8 FCU Visa Credit Cards will be converted to the ILWU Credit Union CARGO Rewards Visa on August 24, 2026. Portland Local 8 FCU cardholders will receive their new ILWU Credit Union CARGO Rewards Visa with contactless (Tap & Go) technology in early August. You may continue using your current Portland Local 8 FCU Credit Card through August 23, 2026. Beginning August 24, 2026, you may activate and begin using your new ILWU Credit Union Visa card.
Please Note:
- Your current Annual Percentage Rate (APR) will remain unchanged.
- Your payment due date will remain the 25th of each month.
- Your new card will have a different credit card number.
Once you activate your new Visa on or after August 24, please remember to update your card information with any merchants or service providers that automatically bill your current credit card to avoid interrupted payments or declined transactions. If you currently have automatic payments set up through another financial institution to pay your credit card each month, you will also need to update the billing address and your new credit card account information.
Following the conversion on August 24, you will be able to conveniently access your credit card information through ILWU Credit Union’s Online Banking and Mobile Banking App. Features include:
- View balances, credit limits, and transactions
- Lock and unlock cards
- Report lost or stolen cards
- Set travel notices
- Make payments and transfers
Your Rewards Points will Transfer to Our CARGO Rewards Program
You may redeem your current points through your existing UCHOOSE Rewards provider through August 1, 2026. Any remaining UCHOOSE points will automatically be transferred to our CARGO Rewards Program after August 24. With CARGO Rewards, you earn unlimited points which can be redeemed for cash back, gift cards, merchandise, or travel.
