How do I earn CARGO Rewards Points?

You will earn 1 point for every dollar you spend on all purchases made with your Platinum CARGO Rewards credit card. There are no monthly or annual caps on the amount of points you can earn.

You can earn up to 4 points per dollar you spend by making your purchases from retailers found at the Get Extra Points Mall on the CARGO Rewards website.

Cash advances, balance transfers, and PIN based transactions are not eligible to earn points.

How can I view my CARGO Rewards Points balance?

There are several ways you can view your CARGO Rewards balance:

      1. Log into online or mobile banking to see your rewards points.
      2. Log into the CARGO Rewards site at https://rewards.ilwucu.org.
      3. Check your monthly Platinum Rewards credit card statement.
      4. Call 866.252.1808 and speak to a CARGO Rewards Representative from Monday – Friday: 5:00am – 7:00pm and Saturday – Sunday: 6:00am – 2:00pm PT.

Why do I have to enter my 16-digit credit card number when registering for my CARGO Rewards account on rewards.ilwucu.org?

The CARGO Rewards website at https://rewards.ilwucu.org is a secure website that enables you to view and redeem your CARGO Rewards Points. We require your complete credit card number in order to ensure that are logging into the correct CARGO Rewards account. You’ll only have to provide your card number once. Once you’ve completed the registration, you’ll be able to login with the username and password that you created.

You can also access the CARGO Rewards website through online or mobile banking or by calling 866.645.1696 from Monday – Friday: 5:00am – 7:00pm and Saturday – Sunday: 6:00am – 2:00pm PT to speak to a CARGO Rewards Representative.

How often can I redeem my CARGO Rewards Points?

You can redeem your points anytime, as long as you have enough points for the Reward you’re trying to redeem. The smallest denomination you can redeem is 5,000 points.

What if I don’t have enough CARGO Rewards Points to place my order?

For merchandise, cash back, gift cards, and charitable donations you must have enough CARGO Rewards Points available for your entire purchase. Our Travel Partner will allow you to charge the difference in cost on your ILWU Platinum Rewards credit card prior to checkout.

How do I redeem my CARGO Rewards Points for merchandise or gift cards?

First select the Rewards category that you want to redeem from the menu at the top of the page.

    1. Select the merchandise item or gift card that you want to purchase and select “Add to Cart.” To change your selection, simply remove the items from your cart.
    2. Verify the information on your order including your shipping address.
    3. You will receive an order confirmation onscreen and via e-mail to print for your records.

How do I redeem my CARGO Rewards Points for cash?

First select the “Cash Back” category from the menu at the top of the page or click on the “Cash Back” tab at the bottom of the page.

      1. Enter the amount of cash that you want to redeem.
      2. Verify the amount of cash that you are requesting and the account that it will be transferred to is correct and click the “Redeem” button.
      3. You will receive an order confirmation onscreen and via e-mail to print for your records.
      4. Your cash redemption will be credited to your ILWU Credit Union Savings account.

How do I redeem my CARGO Rewards Points for travel?

First select the “Travel” category from the “Redeem My Points” menu at the top of the page or click on the travel ad in the center of the page.

      1. Select the flight, hotel, car rental, or vacations from the menu bar.
      2. Enter your trip information on the landing page.
      3. Select the hotel, flight, rental car, or vacation option that you want from the list presented to you.
      4. Input the information required by the site to travel to complete your booking.

If I booked my flight using CARGO Rewards Points, can I upgrade my ticket to First Class or Business Class using the CARGO Rewards website or phone center?

Once you’ve booked your airline ticket using your CARGO Rewards Points, you cannot upgrade to a higher class. Please contact your airline directly for questions on upgrades or other changes to itinerary.

Will I lose my CARGO Rewards Points if I lose my card?

No, you won’t lose the points in your CARGO Rewards account if your enrolled card is lost, stolen or damaged. If your card is lost or stolen, please contact us immediately at 866.445.9828 to report the loss or theft. Once your replacement card is reissued, your CARGO Rewards account will automatically be linked to that new card.

Do my CARGO Rewards Points expire?

Yes, your CARGO Rewards Points expire 36 months from the date that they are added to your account. You can see how many points are due to expire within 90 days by:

      1. Logging into online or mobile banking to see your CARGO Rewards Points.
      2. Logging into the CARGO Rewards site at https://rewards.ilwucu.org.
      3. Checking your monthly Platinum CARGO Rewards credit card statement.
      4. Calling a CARGO Rewards Representative at 866.252.1808 Monday – Friday: 5:00am – 7:00pm and Saturday – Sunday: 6:00am – 2:00pm PT.
