COVID-19 Update & Resources
As we continue to monitor the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) very closely, ILWU Credit Union is doing everything possible to keep our employees and our members safe. We are observing and following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), including taking measures to reduce the threat of COVID-19 exposure to employees and members.
Branch Closures and Reduced Hours
Due to the National State of Emergency and to help protect our members and staff, the San Pedro and Long Beach Branches are temporarily closed until further notice. Our offices located at BALMA (Bay Area Longshoremen's Memorial Association) in San Francisco and at Local 142 in Honolulu, are also closed.
Our Wilmington and Oakland Branches will remain open (Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm) to assist you with essential teller transactions. Please view teller availability and limitations. We apologize for the inconvenience of the branch closures/reduced hours and appreciate your understanding as we try to get through this situation together.
Call Center Hours Temporarily Extended
We are temporarily extending our Call Center hours to serve you during this pandemic. The Call Center will be available: Monday - Saturday from 8:00 am 6:00 pm. Due to staff limitations, you may experience longer than normal wait times. Hopefully, the extended hours and additional day will help, but we ask that you please be patient and respectful with our staff. They are doing everything they can to assist you. Please note: Saturday Call Center hours are only temporary.
Access Your Accounts
Please remember that we have free Online and Mobile Banking services that you can use if you are unable to go to a branch. You can pay bills, check balances, place stop payments, make loan payments, transfer money and even deposit checks with Mobile Check Deposit available on our free Mobile app. For your personal well-being and safety, we encourage you to use our digital channels or contact our Call Center to transact with the Credit Union during this time of heightened health concerns. If you need cash, you have access to more than 30,000 FREE CO-OP ATMs nationwide.
Pandemic Member Assistance Program
If you need financial assistance due to loss of work as a result of COVID-19, we want to help. ILWU Credit Union has implemented a Pandemic Member Assistance Program designed to help members who have been financially impacted by COVID-19. Whether your individual situation calls for deferring a mortgage or consumer loan payment, waiving a fee, or getting a loan, our team is here to assist you. We also have an emergency relief loan available for members who are not working due to COVID-19 and need critical cash. Members can apply for a Crisis Recovery Loan to assist with rent, utility payments, food, or other daily essentials.
